    This is LIFE CHANGING.

    Educational

Challenging.  Respectful.  Real.

This is how students describe Bob Stutman

The Stutman Group immediately grabs the students’ attention by objectively dispelling what they think they know about substance abuse and then educating them on the reality of each substance. Most importantly, students trust Bob.

MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL
COLLEGE

Our Goal

When confronted with the decision to use, students will be armed with hard facts and not emotionally-driven information. They will have the knowledge and willpower to navigate these very difficult situations.

Our educational presentations are tailored to each audience based on the students, stakeholders, and setting. Bob’s experience working with students from all over the country, in all types of educational settings, has taught him the techniques to bring out honesty in adolescents, teens and young adults. Kids who are using drugs have no idea what they are taking and have no room for mistakes.

Through our consulting services we aid schools in developing reporting systems for students, teachers, and educators. And where systems are in place, we bring a keen eye to auditing practices and provide recommendations for improvement. There are just too many young lives at risk.

On average, 2,600 young people are taken to the ER every day with a drug or alcohol overdose.

On average, 5-6 students die every day from drugs or alcohol.

Drug overdose is the leading cause of death by accident this year, exceeding death by automobile accident.

Every single day, 1,660 college girls are sexually assaulted or abused on college campuses due to drug and alcohol abuse.

More people died last year from accidental overdose of prescription drugs than from heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine combined.

Middle School and High School

Public, private or boarding school – it doesn’t matter.
Drugs are an issue for our kids, all kids.

90% of people who become addicts begin using when they are teenagers.

1 in 4 graduating teens will become addicted to a substance in their lifetime.

Bob provides school communities with the tools to make a difference in the war on addiction and dependence, starting with the youngest targets.

He combines the best research from peer-reviewed journals with thousands of conversations with high school students. The Stutman Group provides clarity and purpose so that students, teachers, and administrations can understand, relate to, and be propelled to action.

  • Last night’s presentation was one of, if not, THE BEST presentations I have ever heard at public school. Friends who were at the parent presentation by The Stutman Group LLC last night commented: "Information is power!"
BUT WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO DIFFERENTLY TODAY THAN YESTERDAY?
Parent, Blue Valley School District, Overland Park, KS
  • We’ve gotten nothing but rave reviews. Your work with the students, faculty, and parents was really remarkable.
I CAN’T IMAGINE TWO DAYS GOING BETTER.
Rev. John Belmonte S.J., Ph.D. Superintendent of Catholic Schools, Diocese of Joliet,
Former Principal, Marquette University High School
  • I have been at assemblies and faculty meetings for 39 years as a teacher and counselor. I have never seen students, faculty, and parents
John Offerman, Director of Guidance and Counseling, Archbishop Curley High School
IMPACTED THE WAY YOUR PRESENTATION DID THAT DAY.
  • I really cannot express what a difference Bob’s visit made to our students and to our community. He was the catalyst that brought about the public outcry that
Tiffany Bibaud, SAD Coordinator, Hereford High School
MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR PARENTS TO NETWORK AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER.
  • Bob knows his stuff and the students soon realize this.
    HIS IS NOT A SIMPLISTIC
    “JUST SAY NO” MESSAGE.
Emily Perl, Ph. D., Associate Dean for Student Engagement at Goucher University
They mix hard facts with powerful stories from their work. Students flock to the stage to talk with Bob after each presentation. His message empowers them to ask questions and reveal hard truths about themselves.
  • He is not only talking about what goes on at other schools, he is talking about what kids are doing at our school.
    MR. STUTMAN KNOWS HIS STUFF.

College

Hard-hitting, blunt, and factual. The Stutman Group presents information to students, faculty, administrators and campus security. Many students think they know it all by the time they get to college. Once away from their families and on their own, though, they struggle to navigate the strange sounding drug names, the easy access, and the social pressure.

  • I can honestly say that this presentation left an indelible impact on myself and most, if not all, of the student-athletes who were present.
Zerick Rollins, Life Skills and Career Coordinator, Texas A&M University Athletic Department
THANK YOU FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS.

TOPICS

Substance Abuse Education & Prevention (Middle School and High School)

Bob talks about the “real” world of substance abuse and the many misconceptions. He engages students with topics such as their perceptions about drugs and alcohol in their school and community, what they feel are the attitudes of their parents and the school, and how they feel about the substance abuse education they are currently receiving.

Wasting the Best and Brightest: Substance Abuse at America’s Colleges and Universities – A Workshop for Staff, Administrators, and Faculty (College)

“It’s Like Being Held in my Mother’s Arms.”
The above is a direct quote from a high school senior who had been accepted to Princeton University and was addicted to OxyContin. We can now chemically replicate one of life’s most secure feelings with a drug. Bob Stutman addresses the abundance of misinformation about drugs, what drugs are available at schools, where they come from, and how your students (and staff) obtain them.

The Stutman Group breaks down the barrier to honest communication about drugs and alcohol. They address the true situation colleges face. First, that law enforcement will never make drugs completely unavailable in the U. S. Second, that most adults know almost nothing about the world of kids and drugs. (How many adults know what Special K and Roofies are?) And third, that drugs will go on destroying our young people if we continue to fail to deal with abuse and make substantial change. Those that hear this session walk away with the tools to deal with this issue now.

ABOUT

The Stutman Group is the nation’s premier speaking and consulting organization committed to developing a plan-of-action to reverse the most devastating drug epidemic in American history.
