Riveting. The Stutman Group empowers parents and community members. They provide a wake-up call, especially for those who think it’s “NOT MY CHILD.” Bob Stutman speaks with thousands of parents, communities, and coalitions – bringing the best research and knowledge available to the forefront.

Can You Pick Out a Drug Addict?

YES!  Once it is too late.

Get the facts. Know what to look for. Prevention is the key to saving our communities and protecting our children from the greatest, most overt, drug epidemic our country has ever experienced.

Almost 24,000 young people visit the ER each month with a negative reaction from abusing a prescription drug. Of them, approximately 3,700 die from a drug overdose. They are usually young, very often middle class, and it is almost always by accident, not suicide.

The Stutman Group’s message isn’t the simplistic, “Just say no.” It’s about being proactive, about knowing the truth and equipping groups with the tools they need to make an impact against the drug epidemic NOW.

  • Bob delivered a very powerful program and message that should be required for both parents and adults. He brought a different perspective to the current drug problem and culture. He presented very solid information and research peppered with anecdotes that had lasting impact on myself and the audience.

  • Thank you for your powerful, succinct, and highly relevant talk on drug overuse, abuse, and overdose. It sent a powerful message and a reminder to everyone what is currently at stake. Bob’s caliber as a former DEA agent turned motivational speaker made me consider it as a

Your blunt, honest manner really drives home the gravity of this situation. I am convinced so many of our parents here are in the dark about how big this problem really is in our community. As you stated yourself, parents think of drugs as an inner city problem and not one that continues to kill in our own backyard.

Welcome to America’s Worst Drug Epidemic

On average, 142 people die from a drug overdose every day in the United States – approximately one person every 10-12 minutes. Compare that to 87 people dying each day due to gun violence. There is an uproar over gun violence, but where is the uproar over drug addiction? In recent years, more young people have died from prescription drug overdose than from heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine combined. Bob Stutman presents the best research, what we’re up against and how we can empower and protect our families and communities.

With only 4% of the world’s population, the United States consumes 60% of the world’s drugs. We see this play out in our teenagers, who have doubled their use of illegal drugs in 13 years, and high school students who describe their schools as “drug-infested.” The U.S. is in the middle of a major medical epidemic and, like most epidemics, it will not cure itself.

Why are kids with an average first-use age of 12-13 using drugs and alcohol? If we were seeing 4,333 people die a month from mesothelioma, instead of per year, there would be a national uproar about asbestos. Today, we are facing a devastating public health problem. The Stutman Group arms communities with honest, important, and actionable knowledge.
